L’organisatrice de cette manifestation, Theodora Satolia, est une ancienne pianiste diplômée de la Juilliard School à New York qui a fait une carrière internationale. Passionnée de danse, Theodora Satolia a elle-même été compétitrice en danses latines entre 2000 et 2008. En 2008, elle décide de créer sa propre compagnie dénommée satolia.com DANCE PRODUCTIONS afin d’organiser, au niveau national et international, des manifestations de danse sportive telles que des Compétitions, des Festivals, le Superstars Dance Show, le Dance Fashion Show, le Summer Dance Camp…
Le 1er Superstars Dance Show a eu lieu à Athènes en janvier 2011 avec Riccardo Cocchi and Yulia Zagoruychenko.
Theodora nous a avoué que le 2nd Superstars Dance Show à Athènes était de loin l’événement international le plus difficile qu’elle a eu à organiser en raison de la crise économique qui sévit actuellement dans son pays. Néanmoins, toute la communauté grecque de la Danse Sportive attendait ce spectacle unique offert par Malitowski – Leunis, et tous ont eu finalement le privilège de suivre des cours et des séminaires avec eux.
Theodora Satolia met tout en œuvre pour développer la Danse Sportive en Grèce et souhaite que la Grèce devienne une destination incontournable pour tous les athlètes, coachs et danseurs du monde entier.Theodora Satolia is a former international well known concert pianist graduate of the Juilliard School in New York and current owner of the artistic company satolia.com DANCE PRODUCTIONS.Ms. Satolia has been competing herself in latin division from 2000-2008. Since 2008 she has formed satolia.com DANCE PRODUCTIONS organizing national and international dancesport high profile events such as Competitions, Festivals, Superstars Dance Shows, Dance Fashion Shows, Summer Dance Camps etc..She tells us that organizing the 2nd Superstars Dance Show in Athens was so far the most difficult international event due to economical crisis. Nevertheless, all the Greek Dancesport Community attended this unique spectacle with Malitowski – Leunis and had the privilege of taking lessons and seminars with them. ( It is worth while to mention that the 1st Superstars Dance Show was held in Athens in January 2011 with Riccardo Cocchi and Yulia Zagoruychenko).Theodora Satolia goal is to develop dancesport in Greece and create a well known destination for the most top athletes, coaches and dancers from all over the world.

Michael & Joanna, vous dansez désormais pour l’Angleterre. Pouvez-vous expliquer ce choix ?You are dancing now for England.Could you explain your choice?Michael & moi vivons en Angleterre presque 6 mois par an depuis 5 ans. Nous sommes très proches de l’Angleterre et nous nous sentons bien ici. L’Angleterre est historiquement la Nation de la danse c’est pourquoi c’est un privilège pour nous de représenter l’Angleterre. Et nous en sommes très fiers !Michael and myself have been leaving in the UK for the last 5 years nearly 6 years, we feel very close to England and feel very comfortable there. As a dancing country England has a great history so it is for us a priviledge to represent England. And we are very proud of it
Nous avons remarqué que votre style était sensiblement différent cette année : plus de douceur, de fluidité et de calme. D’où vient ce changement ?We notice that your style is very different this year:more smoothness,softness and peace.Where do this change come from?Nous avons l’intention de nous améliorer constamment. Nous travaillons très dur et n’avons pas peur de rester fidèles à nous-mêmes, de telle sorte que certains changements apparaissent naturellement.Our intentions are to try and improve ourselves all the time we work very hard and are not affraid of being very true to ourselves so there for changes naturally happen.
Une question pour aider les débutants : quel est votre secret pour créer un tel impact sur le public ? (cf. le regard de Joanna)One question that could help the beginner:What is your secret to have such impact on the public? (I am thinking about Joanna’s eyes)Pour ressentir son corps, cela m’aide personnellement à prendre conscience des transitions entre les sensations. Il s’agit d’une question très spécifique sur laquelle nous pourrions nous pencher.To be in touch with your body it helps me personally to be aware of transitions of senses.That is a very specific subject matter that we could focus on.
Vous avez gagné tout ce qui était possible de gagner en Danse Sportive. Avez-vous encore d’autres choses à apprendre en Danses Latines ?You won everything that could be won in Dancesport. Have you anything else to learn in Latin Dancesport?Oui, il y a toujours quelque chose à apprendre. Notre discipline offre une large gamme de possibilités si bien que nous ne nous lassons jamais d’en apprendre davantage.Yes, there is always more.Our discipline offers a great range of possibilities so we are never tired to learn more.
